The PENN International VISX Series Reels redefine the standard for extreme offshore fishing, offering the perfect combination of brute strength, lightweight design, and flawless performance. Precision machined from high-strength, lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum in PENN's Philadelphia center, these two-speed conventional reels are built for anglers who demand the best when targeting powerful pelagic species like tuna, marlin, and shark.

The VISX series features an open-topless design specifically engineered for fishing straight braid or braid with a short mono topshot, maximizing line capacity and drag potential in a smaller, narrower frame. At its core is a massive stainless steel gear train and the ultra-dependable Dura-Drag™ system. This sealed drag system provides consistently smooth startup and virtually eliminates hesitation, even under the most extreme drag settings up to 60 lbs, depending on the model.

A key feature is the Quick-Shift II™ 2-speed system, allowing for instant transitions between high speed (for retrieval and clearing lines) and low-speed power (for lifting heavy fish). Further enhancing control is the Versa-Strike adjustable strike stop, which lets you fine-tune your strike position to optimize drag for your specific fishing style. With a silent double-dog ratchet anti-reverse and line capacity rings, the PENN International VISX Reels deliver the power, capacity, and reliability you need to land record-breaking fish. Made in the USA of domestic and imported components.
