Shimano Butterfly Monarch Jig: Versatile Action for Tuna and Bottom Fish

The Shimano Butterfly Monarch Jig is the all-purpose saltwater jig designed for maximum versatility, excelling whether you are drifting or fishing at anchor. This legendary jig is engineered to imitate a fleeing or disoriented baitfish, triggering aggressive strikes from a wide range of species, from pelagic tuna to deepwater grouper and snapper.

On the retrieve, the Monarch jig swims with a captivating circular motion that mimics a baitfish trying to escape. Crucially, on the free fall, it slides horizontally before shifting into a mesmerizing spiraling descent—the "Slide-Sink-and-Spiral" action that predators can't resist.

Built with Through-Wire construction for ultimate durability against the hardest fighting fish, and finished with Shimano's proprietary Kyorin lifelike holographic design and SCALE BOOST technology, the Monarch offers unparalleled realism and flash visibility. Available in multiple weights and realistic colors like Blue Sardine and Candy Iwashi, the Shimano Butterfly Monarch Jig is essential for any serious vertical jigging angler.
