Aftco Straight Unibutt: The Foundation of a Legendary Trolling Rod

Build a high-performance trolling rod with the industry-standard Aftco Straight Unibutt. This revolutionary one-piece aluminum handle and reel seat system is the top choice for serious offshore anglers and custom rod builders who demand uncompromising strength and perfect alignment. Unlike traditional two-piece designs, the Aftco Unibutt is "unitized" through a unique "swaging" process, creating a single, incredibly strong, and lightweight component.

This innovative construction ensures that the gimbal, reel, and rod guides are permanently locked in perfect alignment, guaranteeing that your tackle tracks true under the immense pressure of a big-game battle. The precision-machined ferrule allows for quick and secure attachment of your rod tip section, while a protective O-ring seal prevents corrosion, a critical feature for any saltwater fishing gear.

The Aftco Straight Unibutt is designed for situations where a straight rod provides the best leverage and control, such as when stand-up fishing or in a chair. A Teflon® ring inside the collet nut provides a snug fit for your reel, prevents galling, and allows for easy removal after a long day on the water. Available in multiple sizes to match your line class and a variety of corrosion-resistant anodized finishes, the Aftco Straight Unibutt is the ultimate foundation for a custom trolling rod that will stand the test of time.
