Heavy swivels - Once only available for commercial use, these tiny, heavy-duty swivels provide tremendous strength and durability that can only be found from SPRO. There isn't another swivel out there that can match the size and strength of a SPRO Heavy Swivel. Whether you're after big catfish, mako sharks, or a monster tuna, SPRO Heavy Swivels are up to the challenge. These are very handy swivels for wind on leaders and winding the swivel through the rod guides.
The smaller sizes are known as "wind on swivels" and are preferred when you want to wind your swivel through your roller guides. Fishing for many of the tuna species, longer leaders are used. To eliminate the use of a wire man, a wind on swivel is used. Allows the angler to wind the entire leader onto the reel and eliminating the need to wire the fish in.
